Dr. Hinako Deits has been with our team since December 2025 but she’s been in the veterinary field for over 9 years. Born and raised in Japan, she moved to Arizona to attend Midwestern University to obtain her Veterinary degree. She also went to UC Davis for her undergrad and was previously a Vet Assistant prior to becoming a Veterinarian. She chose a career in the veterinary field because animals bring a sense of calm and purpose to her life. She feels happiest working with animals every day and loves that her coworkers love animals just as much as she does! She previously had Wolfie, her beloved German Shepherd, who has since passed. Since Wolfie’s passing, she rescued her Chihuahua mix- Sadie, which has been an interesting and exciting adjustment going from a 100 pound to a 10 pound dog. When she’s not cuddling or performing surgery on your pets, Dr. Deits loves all things related to music. At the end of the day, she likes to unwind by playing the piano and violin, as well as singing. She also enjoys listening to classical music, along with music from the 60’s & 70’s. She’s looking forward to being part of your 4 legged family’s life long journey!
