Meet the Doctors

Las Posas Veterinary Medical Center has a devoted staff of veterinarians serving the Camarillo, California area. The following are their biographies.

Nino Garrolini, DVM

Nino Garrolini is the founder and owner of Channel Islands Veterinary Hospital and Las Posas Veterinary Medical Center. He was fortunate enough to grow up and obtain his education around the world. Born in La Crescenta, California where he attended elementary school, his family then moved to Singapore during his middle school years, and the Philippines for high school, with a couple of summers spent in a small town in northern Italy where his parents were from. He came back to California and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marine biology at Cal State Long Beach. He went on to earn a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in the Philippines which culminated in a clinical rotation at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1983.

Lauren M. Locke, DVM

Lauren M. Locke, DVM grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated with highest honors from Indiana University with a B.S. in Biology and an Animal Behavior Minor. She entered the University of Missouri’s Veterinary Medical School following her undergraduate studies and graduated in 2002 with summa cum laude honors again. She had wanted to work with animals since she was young, and turned her focus to veterinary medicine while she was an undergraduate. After graduation, she decided to move to the beautiful California coast and joined Channel Islands Veterinary Hospital and Las Posas Veterinary Medical Center in 2002. She works at both hospitals and has special interests in ultrasound and animal behavior.
